![]() The second round there was a Stinger that I swear was targetting me the entire wave. To start with the first round, my team got wiped except for me TWICE! Second time it happened, I had to juke like a bastard to save us. So I just had one of the most obnoxious rounds of Salmon Run. It.is definitely more helpful to have all four spots filled though. If the matchmaking timer happens to run out before the lobby fills, the run will begin with however many people are there. The leader of the room has an option at any time to start a matchmaking counter and will fill in however many spots are left over to make a 4 person team (so your scenario of you, your bro, and two randoms would apply here). In salmon run, you can form a friend lobby and have 1-3 people join in. These draw from the same game-modes as solo ranked though, so you're not exactly missing anything content-wise by doing duo leagues instead of ranked. Once it's unlocked, you can do League Battles either as a duo or a quad team. There's no teaming up of any kind in Ranked Match, it's the game's only pure "solo queue" mode. Sometimes you'll be allies, sometimes enemies. If he's on your friends list then you can join each others' turf war lobbies, but you're not guaranteed to be matched on the same team. Really curious how the last game mode plays but that is still a big grind ahead of me.Ĭlick to shrink. You have it about right for the most part. I guess the limited player count of 4on4 also makes the game modes feel worse as I have always preferred at least 5on5 game modes. Rainmaker isn't that much fun and somehow similar modes worked better in other games (like BF 4 bomb mode). Turf war is too short and most of the time, only the last minute matters. The game modes I have experienced so far are nothing special. The movement is good but I dislike the limited visibility of the squid form. The gunplay pretty much boils down to who saw whom first which is corroborated by the sticky enemy ink mechanic. The actual gameplay is novel for a bit but I don't enjoy the gameplay that much. This game has so much shit you have to grind for, it's crazy (in a bad way).Īnyway, after playing the game for a while now I think it's an ok shooter which oozes charm. Only needed like 20 more points for the next rank (Champion) but did not have any time to play. Ugh, Splatfests are way too short, at least make it the whole weekend. ![]()
